Yesterday was Day 142 of Fit Over 40 💪

I had some procedures done, so I'm taking it easy for a few days and I'll see what my body says about my limits on Friday.

In the meantime… apparently we're getting FANCY. 💅😂

One thing I love about SIGNALS is that you really don't need to add a bunch of extras. It's already designed to be a nutrient-dense complete meal built around satiety.

But does that mean we can't dress her up occasionally?

Healthy eating isn’t just about choosing “healthy” foods it’s also about giving your body a variety of nutrients from a variety of foods.

Different fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices provide different vitamins, minerals, fiber, and plant compounds.

Instead of focusing on eating the same perfect foods every day, try asking yourself:

✨ How many different colors are on my plate?
✨ Am I rotating the fruits and vegetables I eat?
✨ Am I including different sources of protein and healthy fats?
✨ Am I incorporating a variety of plant foods throughout the week?

You don’t have to completely overhaul your diet. Start small try one new fruit, vegetable, grain, bean, nut, or seed this week. 🌱

More variety doesn’t have to mean more complexity. Sometimes it simply means choosing something different.

🌿 August is National Wellness Month , a reminder that wellness is something we can nurture every day.🌿

Wellness is more than what we eat or how often we exercise. It’s also how we speak to ourselves, how we manage stress, how we rest, and how connected we feel to ourselves and the people around us.

This month is a reminder to slow down and check in with the whole you — mind, body, and spirit. 🤍

You don’t have to completely change your life to prioritize your well-being. Sometimes wellness looks like:
✨ Taking a few deep breaths
✨ Setting a healthy boundary
✨ Getting enough rest
✨ Nourishing your body
✨ Spending time in nature
✨ Moving your body in ways that feel good
✨ Making space for your emotions
✨ Asking for support when you need it

Small, intentional choices can create meaningful changes over time.

This August, let wellness be less about perfection and more about coming back to yourself. 🌱
